Specialist Wisteria Care
Wisteria is a stunning but demanding climber — capable of reaching over 15 metres high and spreading up to 40 metres across. Its beauty is matched only by the structural consideration it requires.
- At Holmes Gardens, we provide comprehensive Wisteria maintenance, including:
Twice-yearly pruning — in late winter
(February) to encourage flower buds, and in summer (July–August) to control leafy growth - Support system installation and inspection, using heavy-gauge stainless steel wire fixed with vine eyes and tensioned with strainer bolts
- Structural assessments, especially on older specimens, to prevent collapse
from overgrowth and weight - Wall training and directional guiding, ensuring the plant grows evenly and securely across masonry or pergolas
